Aussie Misstache Competition WINNER!

Today I wanted to do a quick blogpost to wish you all a very MERRY CHRISTMAS and also to announce the winner of an exciting giveaway I hosted with Aussie during November.
If you missed my video you can check it out above, but basically, to celebrate the fact that Aussie joined forces with Movember this year as their first ever female sponsor to raise awareness for men's health, they decided to give away an amazing, all expenses paid, trip to Australia in 2015!

We asked you all to post a snap of your best 'Misstache' to the Aussie Facebook page to be in with a chance of winning and a couple of weeks ago, I popped into Aussie HQ to pick the winning 'tache! The winning snap came from Amy Anderson with her festive santa-themed #Misstache! A MASSIVE congrats to Amy, I hope you have a wonderful trip!

And a very Merry Christmas to each and every one of you!

My Little Box Collaboration!

I've had to keep this little secret for a few months now, but I can finally let the cat out of the bag box and show you this adorable collaboration I've done with My Little Box for their December edition!
I know I'm a little biased, but I have to say I think this is the best box so far, especially for those of you who love to get a little creative with your Christmas wrapping, as it comes with gift tags, string and patterned tape for customising your gifts!

There's also a cute little knitted headband to keep your ears warm in the frosty mornings, a mini cowshed body lotion, L'occitane face cream and My Little Box's own staple red lipstick.
I've been a fan of the My Little Box subscription service since it launched in the UK a few months back, so I jumped at the chance to collaborate with them. I popped over to Paris for the day to meet the team and shoot the cover picture (which I think turned out really nicely!) I also did a special little DIY feature for the mag, which I was really happy with. If you're already subscribed to My Little Box, then I hope you enjoy this collaboration. If not, you can find out more about them on their website here

Aromatherapy Associates Christmas Collection - 12 Days of Gifting

Today is the last instalment of my 12 Days of Gifting series, but that means it's only 12 days till Christmas (Woohoo!) If you're still finishing off your Christmas shopping, then it's worth taking a look at Aromatherapy Associates' offerings.
Every year they bring out the most gorgeous sets of bath oils...
I got one a couple of years back and it lasted me all year! This year I'll be getting one for my sister, as she loves them too and they are great for helping her to relax and take time out from her busy schedule!

This year their Christmas offerings are all housed in beautiful teal packaging. My top picks are the Ultimate Bath Jewels set, a selection of 10 different oils in a miniature chest of drawers, including my personal favourite Relax Deep blend. While the bottles don't look very big, each will last you about 4 baths. The set is £55 and available from SpaceNK online. If you've never tried Aromatherapy Associates bath oils, you have to change that in the new year, they are utterly fabulous!
My other pick from their Christmas collection is the the 'Joy' three wick candle. It's a combination of rose and ginger and is seriously lovely. It's expensive at £45 but will burn for 42 hours. This is also available online via SpaceNK.

YSL Christmas Collection - 12 Days of Gifting

Today's 12 Days of Gifting post is probably the most luxurious of them all. YSL have released a collection that will be every leopard-print-lover's dream this Christmas! It's made up of the Wild Edition face palette, limited edition leopard print Touche Eclat and a limited edition shade of Glossy Stain.
The palette is covered in leather, with an elasticated closure like a little notebook, topped off with a little black tassel. Inside are four shimmery shades of eyeshadow, a blush, two lip glosses and three little applicators for each. The shades are really wearable, but have a definite Christmas party feel to them.

The Touche Eclat is in the original shade and the Glossy Stain is a beautiful, bold red. Each would make a gorgeous gift on it's own, or all three together would be a truly luxurious present.
The collection is available now, from Boots online or YSL counters nationwide. The palette is £69 and the Touche Eclat and Glossy Stain are £25 each.

Tangle Teezer Metallic - 12 Days of Gifting

I spotted this little gem while queueing up to pay in Urban Outfitters the other day. I've used a Tangle Teezer for ages and really like them for limiting damage to my hair when brushing. I've got a full sized one and I've seen the miniatures before, but never been convinced to splash out on one until I saw this.
It has a pretty metallic finish with a clip-in lid to cover the bristles in your bag, so it's perfect for on the go...
It's also wrapped up like a cute little Christmas cracker, so perfect as a stocking filler!
It will set you back £13 and is available online from

Guest Review! Philips Lumea Hair Removal System (sp)

Today I've got a guest post from my best friend Lissie for you all! Philips approached me a few months ago and asked if I would be interested in reviewing their Lumea hair removal system. Having known Lissie wanted to try out an IPL system for ages, I asked if she'd like to take it on a test run for me. Here are her thoughts...
When Fleur initially approached me to try the Philip’s Lumea Precision Plus I positively jumped at the opportunity. Since around the age of around 14, I have tried endless ways under the sun attempting to remove unwanted body hair. This ranges from foul-smelling hair removal creams, to unbearable waxing and the both painful and time consuming epilating. And still, 12 years later, I search for that elusive, cure-all solution that is both pain-free and effective...

In Philips Lumea Precision Plus I think I’ve found that magic combination. Its ease of use, creating real results and most of all the fact that it is pain free (for me!), has now made this my go-to product for depilation. Having used it regularly for the last 3 months I cannot recommend it highly enough.
When it first arrived I was initially impressed with how it looked. It has a sleek design to it and is also lightweight, making it really easy to use. Additionally, it also came with a small case for it to sit snugly into, so you are not heaving a large box around with it, either for storage or travelling.

The product works by applying gentle pulses of light to the hair and the hair root, just underneath the skin. As a result of this, hair will shed from the skin naturally and it also prevents regrowth. You need to shave the desired area first (be it leg, armpit, bikini line etc.) and then consult the skin tone graph as to what light pulse intensity would be suitable for you. With fairly dark hair, and somewhat pale skin, I chose the second highest setting of ‘4’. You then need to decide which attachment is appropriate for the area that you are depilating. The one I use the most is the ‘body’ attachment, especially suitable for legs, however there is also a ‘face’ attachment, a smaller piece with an extra integrated light filter, suitable for sensitive areas and also hard-to-reach places, such as armpits.
You then place the Precision Plus at a 90° angle to your skin, and when all contacts are touching the skin, a green flash light shows that you can start the process. This is when you chose to use either the ‘Slide & Flash’ mode, especially useful for legs, where you can do long strokes, with the product pulsating light at regular intervals, or the ‘Step & Flash’ mode, where you place the product precisely where you want it to flash, useful for awkward areas, such as the knees. Whilst it did take me a couple of minutes to get used to the product, ensuring I did not overlap areas that had already been flashed, I quickly became used to it, and realised how quickly this can be done. Within about 10 minutes I had done my lower leg. Within half an hour I had completely finished.

I will happily admit that I was more than slightly sceptic as to how effective this would be. However after only one use, I already could see the result on my legs, where the hair took longer to grow back and was thinner than previously. Having now used it for the past few months, repeating the process once every 3 to 4 weeks, I can now really see the difference this has made on all the different areas I used this.  My underarm hair is not as coarse as it once was, and my legs need far less maintenance than they used to, something I am definitely looking forward to come summer. If you are after a pain free hair removal product that shows results after consistent use, this is the one for you, I really cannot recommend it highly enough.
“Lumea, the secret to beautiful hair free skin, for up to 2 months”

Philosophy Christmas - 12 Days of Gifting

I adore Philosophy's seasonal products. Whether it's their pumkin-themed body washes around Halloween or festive offerings for Christmas, they always make great scents that instantly evoke the feeling of the season!
This year is no exception...
Not only have they released a Vanilla Jasmine body wash (technically it's a shampoo, bubble bath and shower gel, but I only ever use them as shower gels) but they have also brought out cute little tree ornaments. They've miniaturised some of their best selling products including Purity cleanser, Hope in a Jar moisturiser and Hands of Hope hand cream.
These will set you back £9 so are a perfect little stocking filler or gift to hang on the tree!

You can see the full collection, and order them online from John Lewis here.

Charlotte Tilbury Fallen Angel Palette - 12 Days of Gifting

When I first laid eyes on this Limited Edition eyeshadow palette, I was in awe.
It is possibly the most beautiful palette I've ever seen. Not only is the packaging stunning (Charlotte Tilbury's signature deep brown and rose gold made even more perfect by a smattering of stars) but the shades inside are also gorgeous...

A clever selection of neutral shimmers and a highly pigmented matte black. It's the perfect quad for creating both stunning daytime, neutral eyes and sparkling festive smokey looks. This would be the perfect gift for any glam girls out there this Christmas!

The shadows are perfectly pigmented and blend beautifully. The embossed stars also last for quite a while once you start using the shadows (if you can bring yourself to use them, I felt super sad destroying the pretty star embossing!)

I can imagine these will sell out pretty quickly (they're already out of stock on the Selfridges website) so move fast if you want one. It will set you back £45 and is available on the Charlotte Tilbury website now.

Lush 'All I Want for Christmas' Set - 12 Days of Gifting

Lush is a brand that is truly at it's best at Christmas. Their festive limited edition products are eagerly anticipated by most beauty-lovers in the run up to Christmas (including myself!) so when this huge gold box landed on my desk a few weeks ago, I knew I had to include it in this gift guide series!
The 'All I Want for Christmas' set is a HUGE gift box packed full of both limited edition Christmas products and goodies from their permanent collection...

There are 21 items in total, so there's definitely something for everyone. I think this would be a great gift for a family or a couple, as it would be great to share.
It's the biggest Christmas gift set Lush sell, so it's not cheap at £100, but it would definitely make a certain someone's Christmas to find this under the tree this year! It's available in stores or on the Lush website now.

Benefit Cheeky Sweet Spot - 12 Days of Gifting

There have been a flurry of blush palettes released this season, but the one that impressed me the most was this little gem from Benefit.
Benefit boxed powders have become something of a cult beauty item. My personal favourites are Hoola, Dandelion and Coralista, but with this new limited edition set you don't have to choose favourites because they've packed six out of eight of their boxed powders into a single palette!

The palette contains Dandelion, Bella Bamba, Sugarbomb, Hoola, Coralista and Rockateur along with their Watts Up cream highlighter and a miniature brush. They are housed in a durable tin house (which will definitely stay looking pristine longer than the normal box powder packaging!) and what's even better is that the whole palette retails for £29.50. Compared to the full size powders at £23.50, you're getting a serious selection of products for your money!
These have been selling out like hotcakes, and are almost impossible to get online. Your best bet is to try your luck at your nearest Benefit counter, as I hear there are a few still available, but move fast if you want to get your mitts on one as they are definitely one of the most in-demand beauty gifts of the year!

Rodology Jewellery - 12 Days of Gifting

The only non-beauty gift in my 12 Days of Gifting series, today's choice is quite a special one. As soon as I saw these unique pieces of jewellery online, I loved them.
Each one is created from a vintage timepiece, making a quirky and unique gift...

Perfect for girls or guys who 'have everything', it's a good job Mike doesn't read my blog, because he's definitely getting a pair of these cufflinks in his stocking! Each style is slightly different, but you can choose from a silver, gold or rose gold finish.
I've shown these items to a couple of different people and everyone has been utterly impressed with the design, quality and also surprised by the price. They are really reasonably priced, from £15 for a small pendant, to £36 for a pair of cufflinks. The full Rodology collection is available on their website.

Jo Malone Cologne Intense Collection - 12 Days of Gifting

Jo Malone have really nailed it with their limited edition gifts this Christmas. Aside from their jaw-dropping advent calendar and oversized Frosted Cherry & Clove candle (which I'm still hoping I might find in my stocking!) The other gift that caught my eye this year was the Cologne Intense Collection.
Dark Amber & Ginger Lily is my all time favourite fragrance from Jo Malone, but I haven't tried many of the other Cologne Intense fragrances. I love the idea of luxury miniature sizes when it comes to perfume as they are small enough to fit in your handbag, but still big enough to last a decent amount of time and come with a spray...

The set comes with five 9ml bottles containing Dark Amber & Ginger Lily, Tuberose Angelica, Velvet Rose & Oud, Saffron and Oud & Bergamot, all beautiful presented in a signature Jo Malone box with a sparking, frosted red interior.
It's expensive at £82 for the set, but it would be the perfect give for any Jo Malone loving perfume addicts (or let's face it, most girly girls!). It's available now from Jo Malone stores and online from Selfridges.
