A Festive Little Beauty Bargain!

While perusing the aisles of Sephora yesterday (one of my most favourite things to do, of course!) I came across this tiny little sparkling palette and instantly snapped it up. It's the 'Event Entry' palette from Sephora's own brand 'Sephora Collection'.

It's a mini palette that contains eight neutral/smokey tones of eyeshadow...
Although I've used very little of Sephora's own brand makeup in the past, I swatched this in store and was really impressed by the formulation and pigmentation of the shadows. The paler shades have a lighter pigmentation, but the dark shades have really good payoff and blend nicely.

I think this is a great little bargain, whether it's a Christmas treat for yourself, or a gift for a fellow beauty lover, it's an amazing deal at only $11 (Just under £7) There's a nice mix of matte and shimmery shades and the black, glittery packaging is gorgeous too.

I'll definitely be getting a lot of use out of this over Christmas time!

NYX Butter Glosses: Worth The Hype?

Firstly, I'm sorry for the lack of posts on here for the past few weeks. In case you weren't aware, it's that time of the year again... VLOGMAS is in full swing! If you haven't been keeping up with my vlogmas videos, you can check them out here. I'm also currently in Los Angeles, so in between filming my entire life in the run up to Christmas, I've also been a busy bee travelling around this week!

Being in the US certainly has it's beauty perks though... I've finally managed to get my mitts on a NYX Butter Gloss! A lot of my blogging friends have been raving about these glosses recently, and I can confirm... they do not disappoint

Here's what NYX say:
Buttery soft and silky smooth, our scrumptious new Butter Lip Gloss tastes as sweet as a sugar cookie—and makes your lips look downright luscious. Swipe it on alone or over your favourite lipstick for creamy sheer to medium coverage that melts onto your lips and is never sticky.

In my opinion, these glosses do all of those things beautifully. I'm in love with the scent and texture. While these glosses are super creamy and smooth, the texture does have a tiny bit of stickyness to it also. I personally love this balance, as it allows them to be smooth and lovely to wear, but also keeps them on your lips longer than your average moisturising gloss. I found that they really moisturise my lips too.

There are 12 shades in the line up and they retail for just $5 (around £3!) The majority of these are creamy nudes and neutrals, with a couple of more bold tones in there too. I only have one shade at the moment 'Eclair' but I will definitely try to get my hands on more of these before I fly home next week!

Have any of you tried the NYX butter glosses?

Winter Warmers from Les100Ciels

I like brands with clever names. Les100Ciels (pronounced 'ley sont see-el' if you don't speak French) has the same pronunciation as 'l'essentiel', so this clever name actually has two meanings: The 100 Skies, but also essential.

The French cashmere brand have just opened their first UK store in St Christopher's Place, London (just off Oxford Street). The luxury, yet affordable pieces see cashmere take a new turn. Their quirky designs, many of which are one size and/or unisex give you the luxury of wearing cashmere, without the 'twinset and pearls' effect.

The brand manages to keep their prices down by producing the products entirely themselves. From the design headquarters in Paris, to the cashmere farms in inner Mongolia, to the production houses in China, all the way down to the distribution to each of it's eight stores in Asia and the boutique in London... so if you're looking for a gorgeous luxury gift this festive season that won't break the bank, then I would thoroughly recommend checking them out!

My personal favourite picks from the site are their unusual colour-blocking pieces.
I love this striped sleeve waterfall cardigan with non-matching sides. It's really unusual in design and also had exposed seams, which make it look a little edgy.

I'm also loving these oversized knits.

They also have some great accessories. Their 100% cashmere scarves start at £59 so make amazing gifts.

The lovely people over at Les100Ciels are also offering a special deal for all of my blog followers this month. If you make a purchase from the online store, use the code 'FLEUR' at checkout and they'll give you one of these semi-precious stone bracelets for FREE!
What's more, if you spend over £200, they'll also give you this cute scarf & slipper set (worth £60) for free too! Just enter 'FLEUR RED' 'FLEUR ECRU' or 'FLEUR BLUE' depending on which colour you would like. Head over to Les100c.com and take a peek!
*Gifts with purchase available while stocks last. This is a sponsored post.

Frosted Fingertips

Seeing as it is now December, I've cracked out the glitter polishes, and won't be relinquishing them 'till the new year! I'm a total glitter junkie when it comes to nail polish, so Christmas time is my favourite time of year for painting my nails. (Not that you can't wear it all year round, but it seems more appropriate at Christmas time!)
I loved Illamasqua's new glitter polish 'Blizzard' at first sight...

White glitters aren't the most common and this one is exceptionally pretty, however, I was a bit disappointed as the glitter came out quite sheer on the nails.
Layered over Lancome's Flocon Blanc (520)... it was a different story though! I love the super frosty effect. A match made in glittery heaven.
The first festive nail of many to come this month!
What do you think?
